The LUMENS HPL ULTRA LED Series features a fanless design with flexible aluminum cooling heatsinks that help dissipate heat without relying on a mechanical cooling fan.
The flexible heatsinks can be positioned to accommodate available space behind the headlamp, providing greater installation flexibility in compatible applications. Combined with ULTRA's established design, this cooling system supports dependable, long-term operation.

Exposed Rear Installation
Designed for installations where the rear of the LED bulb remains exposed, without an enclosing dust cover.
Reflector Headlamps
Designed for use in compatible reflector-style headlamp housings.
Not for Projector Headlamps
ULTRA LED bulbs are designed for reflector-style headlamps and are not recommended for projector-style headlamp housings.

Proper LED Bulb Orientation
For optimal beam pattern, install the ULTRA LED bulb with the LED chips facing sideways, at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, whenever the bulb's mounting position allows. Avoid positioning the LED chips vertically at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions.
Compact Dimensions. Better Fitment.
- Overall Length: Designed with dimensions similar to halogen bulbs, helping accommodate headlamp assemblies with limited space behind the bulb for cooling fans or heat sinks.
- Bulb Head Diameter: Comparable to or smaller than the halogen equivalent, helping ensure proper clearance within the headlamp housing, particularly for H1, H3, and 800-series applications.
- Bulb Head Length: Similar to the glass portion of a halogen bulb, helping prevent clearance issues in headlamp housings with limited internal space.
3000K Yellow Chips Available
The 3000K yellow light delivers a distinctive JDM and European-inspired look while offering improved visual contrast in challenging weather conditions such as fog, snow, and rain. The yellow colour is achieved without additional covers or shrouds that could restrict airflow around the LED chips. This design maintains unobstructed light output and supports effective heat dissipation for long-term LED performance.

Smart Box
Smart Boxes are plug-and-play accessories, sold separately, designed to help resolve electrical and CANBUS compatibility issues that may occur when converting from halogen to LED bulbs. It can eliminate bulb-out warnings, complete certain series-wired lighting circuits, prevent flickering or intermittent operation, and resolve other CANBUS related compatibility issues.Note: Smart Boxes do not increase voltage or current and will not correct low-voltage daytime running light (DRL) circuits operating below 6V.
Other Special Parts
Some vehicles may require special parts including:
• Bulb Holders (affects H7 & H1 bulbs)
• Harnesses (for daytime running light circuits under 6V)
• Resistors (for use with harnesses)
Rubber Dust Cover Seal
Universal rubber dust cover seals provide additional clearance behind the LED bulb when the factory dust cover cannot accommodate the bulb or its components. The flexible rubber design helps maintain a covered headlight housing while providing the extra depth needed for proper installation. Available in multiple diameters to fit a variety of headlight housings.
